Beautifil - Rating 5/5
A spacious, clean and quiet picture book cottage. Perfect for a relaxing break in a convenient location for exploring the boarders. The garden in the morning sun was idyllic!Be sure to stop at the cashmere shop for a good variety of reasonably priced (for cashmere) clothing - treated myself to a jumper that’s keeping me cosy on the rest of our slightly cooler trip into the highlands.

Stayed for three nights in between Christmas and New Year with our toddler and 2x dogs.Really nice cottage in a picturesque location. All necessary facilities available.Clean and spacious.Really hospitable host. Not a criticism, just an advisory- charges for pets could be clearer in the advertisement for the cottage.Would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Scotland.

Traditional farm cottage - Rating 5/5
Our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 under 3 years old) visited for 3 nights at Willowherb Cottage. We found the property to be very nice. A traditional farm cottage in a very quiet location at a fair price. We opted for a cottage rather than paying the same price for 2 hotel rooms as it was more practical with the 2 children. We met the owners and they were very approachable and friendly. The facilities in the cottage were adequate (fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, oven....).If we stayed longer, I would love to have wandered around as the area had a lovely mix of wildlife (birds of prey, pheasants, farm animals....) and scenery.Would recommend. Thanks.

Our family stayed across the two cottages and we all had a great stay. All our questions beforehand were answered quickly by Sheila. The cottages were clean, comfortable and we enjoyed using the log burner in the evenings. It was so quiet and peaceful and we loved seeing pheasants, deer, sheep and Highland coos on our walks. Would love to stay again!

We enjoyed our stay - Rating 5/5
We only stayed overnight but can imagine that Wiltonburn Farm would be ideal for a longer stay to explore the lovely local scenery. It's a beautiful house, and we were made to feel very welcome. Our bedroom was spacious, although the en suite was rather compact, and the TV miniscule for the size of room. We'd recommend a notice to alert to scalding water from the hot tap! Breakfast was excellent at a large dining table shared with two other guests whose company we enjoyed.
Response
Hi Peter, Thank you for your kind and helpful review. We note your comments about the water and will put up a sign. It can get hot if the guests in the other room do not run it off for a bath!! However, glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again another time. Best regards Sheila

Relaxed atmosphere and stunning views - Rating 5/5
We enjoyed a very pleasant couple of days at Winterburn Farm. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and the location is quite, remote and very peaceful. It's an old Victorian Farmhouse that oozes Olde Worlde charm and the surrounding countryside is simply beautiful. The hosts David & Sheila were extremely helpful, our only gripe was that the I/Net was a little bit intermittent. A small price to pay for such a remote spectacular location.

Bliss - Rating 5/5
Staying at Wiltonburn Farm is like stepping back in time to when life was less hurried & stressful. The farm is set in beautiful countryside so no traffic to be heard. The rooms are very comfortable & the bath is just amazing, my husband is 6ft but he could stretch out with room to spare & so deep too. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt & of course a brilliant fry up. Lastly the gardens are a real bonus, a little putting green, hammock & table & chairs to sit out in the sun. There is also a small shop on site selling cashmere goods.
Response

We had a lovely stay at the farm. Sheila is a very kind host who had everything ready for us and is always available to suggest things to do around the area. Our room was spacious and bright, clean, comfortable and cosy. A truly magical place to spend time. - Rating 5/5
May Jayne and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for superb stay in Foxglove cottage, it is a truly magical place to spend some time, a complete feeling of peace and being away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life but still within easy reach of town to visit friends, shopping, eating out etc. The cottage is stunning and your décor choice is spot on, modern but with original features still intact. In the future if we decide to return to Hawick you will simply have to sell it to us ïŠThank you so much again.

We stayed here for one night on our way to attending a wedding at Gretna Green and we were very pleasantly surprised at the rural location which was just what we were needing after a long drive from the Highlands. It was very comfortable, very peaceful and homely. Our host was very friendly and gave us lots of information on where to have a meal in the evening. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. If you want a peaceful holiday with plenty to see in the area, this is definately the place to come!

Weekend away. - Rating 4/5
My sister and myself wanted to have a quiet weekend away. We wanted to relax and catch up with each other in beautiful surroundings. We wanted comfort but not fussiness. We weren't interested in a noisy splashing pool or someplace busy with family activities. We wanted to visit somewhere we'd never been so that we could wander and explore, drink tea and buy ourselves a couple of treats. We wanted to stay somewhere that was warm and welcoming but where the hosts didn't feel the need to amuse and entertain us. We got all of this during our weekend at Wiltonburn Farm. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Just what we wanted - Rating 4/5
We are a young couple with a two years old daughter.we both happened to have some time off work ans wanted to go away for a few days. We wanted somewhere that we could enjoy each other's company and somewhere that our little girl would enjoy. She LOVED being on a farm. She could look out of the window every morning and see the horses. The setting is remote enough for the little one to believe she was in the middle of nowhere but close enough to plenty of amenities. The nearby town of Hawick is wonderful and surprisingly lively and Edinborough is close enough to drive to.As a hostess Sheila was extremely respectful of our privacy yet most welcoming as helpful if we required anything. We would recommend this to young couples and young families alike, especially if it's a nice, relaxing break that you're looking for.

Great Place to Start a tour of Scotland - Rating 5/5
Wiltonburn Farm B and B is tucked away on the side of a hill several kiometers outside of Hawick. Our room was clean and comfortable. Water was hot and plenty of it to get rid of the travel grime from the flight from the USA to Edinburgh. Our hostess was friendly and made a delicious breakfast. Check out the cashmere collection she has in her shop adjoining the B and B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this B and B highly to our friends.
